Brands of projectors deemed to have a short throw are manufactured to be positioned closer to the screen without losing the capacity to project big images. In comparison, projectors with long throw functions work the other way around. To finish off assessing the specifications, take a quick look at the degree of zooming capability and the flexibility of the lens-shift range.

Lastly but most importantly for first-time buyers, check out the prices. Many projectors in the market can be classified price-wise into low range (below 2100 dollars), mid range (between 2100 and 3500 dollars) and high-range (above 3500 dollars).  Specifications, dimensions and features vary with these price ranges accordingly.
